Recreating the past for live events, TV and film
The historical accuracy of groups is very important to some
sponsors and programme makers, yet whilst the top groups are excellent, others still offer standards more appropriate to themed pageants than accurate
historical recreations. If you are unsure of which historical group or performers to
utilise or are worried they might not take authenticity seriously enough, we can help. With our in-depth knowledge of history and of performing
groups, EventPlan can guide you through the bewildering choice of performers to
source the best groups or individuals to suit your particular needs.
Whilst directing the English Heritage events programme, Howard wrote a series of guidelines for performing groups. No.1, Authenticity and Presentation became an accepted standard for many groups and event organisers. EventPlan continues to encourage performers to maximise their standards of authenticity wherever possible, offering glimpses of the past that are as accurate as possible within modern restrictions.
Participants in our events are required to meet a set of minimum standards as a condition of participation. It is our aim to ensure that all of our events are not only extremely entertaining for the audience, but are also as historically accurate as possible.
