The London

Historical Action Spectacular

5-7 July 2002

Bedfont Lakes Country Park,  Feltham, West London

An important customer: Rory McCreadie,  C17th barber-surgeon,  prepares Colonel Stephen Foster, a Parliamentarian officer, for his morning shave. Members of the English Civil War Society presented ongoing living history demonstrations throughout the weekend as well as staging battles, displays and even civil war pike and musket drill for children.

Additionally, visitors on the Schools' Living History Day and over the weekend had the chance to meet and listen to King Charles I (convincingly portrayed by actor Simon Kirk) whilst he explained his believes and policies. As in history, visitors were divided over whether he was a good or bad king.
