The Siege of Bolingbroke Castle 1643

360th anniversary re-enactment at Old Bolingbroke, Lincolnshire, Friday 10 to Sunday 12 October 2003

An important reason for the weekend of events was the commemoration of those (thankfully few) who fell in the Siege of Bolingbroke Castle. This was the tribute attached to the wreath, laid by the Lord Generals of the English Civil War Society, as a fitting and poignant end to the weekend's activities.

The wreath was placed in the Auditors' Tower, overlooking the inner bailey, moat and fort.
