A
very pleasant weekend of living history and displays with a mounted Medieval knight
in armour (with accompanying jester and mule), archers, soldiers, monk,
craftsmen, music, song, cooking, encampment and much more!
The grounds of the
abbey came
alive with the sights, sounds and smells of medieval life
in this, our second event at
Tupholme Abbey for the
Heritage Trust
of Lincolnshire, following our

Living history groups and other performers interested in taking part in our events are invited to contact us for further details and click the link for our Standard terms and conditions for participation.
A small number of quality historical traders took the opportunity to book a pitch. As usual, preference was given to traders who utilise period tents or otherwise attractively presented stands.

Visiting Tupholme Abbey
From
the A15 just south of Lincoln, take the B1188 towards Branston, and almost
immediately, the B1190 eastwards to Washingborough, Bardney and Horncastle.
The abbey is just east of Bardney
From Horncastle, take the A158 towards Lincoln, then the B1190 westwards towards Bardney via Thimbleby, Hosington and Bucknall. The abbey is between Bucknall and Bardney.
