Medieval living history and entertainment

Tupholme Abbey, Lincolnshire

East of Lincoln off the B1190 between Bardney and Bucknall

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September 2007  11am to 4pm  Free admission and parking

A very pleasant weekend of living history and displays with a mounted Medieval knight in armour (with accompanying jester and mule), archers, soldiers, monk, craftsmen, music, song, cooking, encampment and much more! The grounds of the abbey came alive with the sights, sounds and smells of medieval life in this, our second event at Tupholme Abbey for the Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire, following our initial event there last summer. Click to view Red Zebra's photos of the event, or for a timetable of displays and activities.

The line up of top performers included Sir John Savile's Household, Knights Hospitalers, Lance and Hames, The Ringwoods of History and musician Trevor James. Plus historical traders.

Living history groups and other performers interested in taking part in our events are invited to contact us for further details and click the link for our Standard terms and conditions for participation.

Trading opportunities

A small number of quality historical traders took the opportunity to book a pitch. As usual, preference was given to traders who utilise period tents or otherwise attractively presented stands.

Please click for further details of  trading opportunities at EventPlan events.
