In 2005, EventPlan was commissioned to create, develop, script and direct the Roman Army and Chariot Experience in the ancient chariot racing hippodrome at Jerash, Jordan. This also involved training participants (most ex-Jordanian army, special forces and Police) as an impressive unit of Roman Legionaries and as fearsome gladiators. All were co-ordinated within a thrilling display of military drill, manoeuvres, gladiatorial combat and chariot racing. This fascinating project brought the hippodrome to life again after 1500 years and culminated in an initial show in front of members of the Jordanian royal family.
