Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August 2005

Our Huntingdon 800 medieval extravaganza was a typical large-scale EventPlan show. Enormous crowds enjoyed many different displays in our three arenas, but jousting was definitely a highlight! All were extremely good natured and well-behaved, following our usual simple but effective viewing arrangements, which were relayed to visitors over the PA and via the free programme. Those at the front all sat on the ground, folding seats were allowed further back, and standing visitors behind this. This, careful choice of ground, and using our green camera-friendly stake and tape safety barriers, ensured a good view for everyone.
Where possible, we utilise sloping ground for audience viewing (for example, at the Sheffield Fayre), and dramatic skylines for performers to appear over.
