The last 50 years of underwear is displayed on a clothes line (what will future generations make of these fashions?) as the models (Nikki, Debbie, Mickey, Gemma and Simon, all in WWII underwear), take a bow.
Each afternoon (and in a special Saturday evening performance for the re-enactors) Hands on History presented a brief history of underwear from ancient times to the C20th, looking at both body linen and structural foundation. This fascinated audiences used to the altogether rather less bulky wear of today.
