People not to meet on a quiet road...a dastardly gang of C18th highwaymen, portrayed by members of Lace Wars at History in the Park, Bedfont Lakes Country Park, 24-25 July 2004.  Throughout the weekend "Captain" King's men and women (including notorious female fence Poll Peachum) lay in wait for the unwary, whilst also finding time to stage a display and talk about the highwaymen that infested the Great West Road across Hounslow Heath (which was much bigger than today) in the 1730s and 1740s.
