Our 3rd annual Classical Greek to 1960s multi-period living history show at
Cliveden, Buckinghamshire

The extremely attractive Green Drive (a long C17th carriageway, now a wide grassy path flanked by trees and undergrowth) proved an ideal setting for a time line of living history for visitors to explore. Troops could dig in if wished and like this German unit of the World War Two Living History Association, set out elaborate and authentic encampment areas with defensive foxholes, vehicles and tentage. Here, a sentry stands guard over a truck at the entrance to hidden Feldgendarmie positions.
