Old Bolingbroke Gardens Open Weekend

As part of the weekend's activities, English Civil War drummer Howard Giles and Pete Lee of the 33rd Foot circa 1815 explained the history of the castle. The castle was besieged in 1643 whilst later, the 33rd recruited throughout the area during the wars against Napoleon.
