Recreating the past for live events, TV and film
Costumed talks for clubs, societies and special interest groups
If
you are looking for an unusual presentation, after dinner or afternoon talk as a
part of your special interest group or social club
meeting, we can bring history to life in fascinating and
entertaining way. Ideal for Rotary, Women's institute and historical club
meetings.
We can arrange for top living historians and interpreters to come to you and present fascinating talks and if wished, hands-on-activities. Our pool of experienced speakers and interpreters could be just what you need! We always select the right person or persons for the job. Whether a single interpreter, a couple or group, they will present you with a slice of history in a fascinating, engaging way. Nobody ever falls asleep at the back during one of our talks!
Indeed, EventPlan's Managing Director Howard Giles enjoys lecturing and interpreting as well as running the company. As a historian, Howard has researched many eras of history and commentated at major live events for many years. He has scripted and spoken voiceovers for videos of two key re-enactment events, History in Action II (1997) and History in Action 2000. His relaxed style and ability to talk without notes (taking inspiration from the lectures of the late great A J P Taylor) go down well with audiences of all ages and background, from a single classroom of children to 20,000 people at an event. Subject to availability, Howard accepts invitations to talk to invited audiences.
Fees vary according to content and location, but are always very reasonable.
Here are just some of the subjects we can cover:
