Ongoing activities

In addition to the timed displays above, see re-enactors practicing their skills in the mini display area, and there’s a chance to dress in period costume and “step into” a C17th painting at the History Re-enactment Workshop tent. 

Don’t miss the extensive living history displays, including along the Green Drive (adjacent to the main field – access via the signed pathways. Living history displays include those from the above groups, plus Viking warriors of Haukur and Ormsgard Dark Age Theatre, Medieval life depicted by The Lincoln Guild, Renaissance-era soldiers of Fahnlein Uri, American Civil war campaign camp, a Victorian travelling exhibition recreated by Grymm Tooms Travelling Museum, polar explorers of the Antarctic Adventurers, French army uniforms and artefacts of 1914-35 presented by Croix de Lorraine, Spanish Civil War volunteers of La Columna,  WWII Soviet soldiers of Za Oberonya, post-WWII civil reconstruction (in the form of a road building team), and Vietnam era US Special forces recreated by the 5th Special Forces Group, 3rd Mobile Strike Force, Vietnam, 1966 and Rolling Thunder

Please feel free to visit the performers’ encampments and displays, and don’t be shy, ask any of the performers any questions you may have, as they are very friendly.
